Speights Coast to Coast Fri 13 - Sat 14 February 2009  A Multi-sport challenge from Kumara to Sumner beach. The longest running Multisport event in the world involving 238 km of Kayaking, mountain running and cycling from Coast to Coast of the South Island. Competors arrive at Sumner Beach Christchurch from early afternoon Saturday. One Day Competitors will arrive from about 5pm

One Day Record 10hrs 38 min. Slowest competitor 3 months (due to Hospital recovery time)

The City Care Weekend of Walks starting from Ferrymead Historic park 26,27 March 2005. Each day there is a different 5km, 10km, 20km and 30km walk. Website www.weekendofwalks.co.nz

The Avon-Heathcote Estuary Ihutai Trust The next event is on the 8 November 2004 between 10 and 12 at the Charlesworth Wetland reserve where we will be mulching and weeding the 2,100 new plants we planted there last year. All welcome.
